The Solar Eagle III won the prestigious national intercollegiate solar car race, The Sunrayce 1997. The top section of the Hot Wheels Solar Eagle III features a reflective finish, mimicking the real-life solar panels that power the car. The car sits on three small MC1 wheels, which are not compatible with some Hot Wheels playsets.
